The connection between the volcano and monteverde is a Jeep-Boat-Jeep
We left San Gerrado on the 6th of Feb, and then said our goodbyes to Carl! Eddie and I travelled on, heading north again! First stop La Fortuna, the volcano town! We arrived in the afternoon and went straight for a laundry place, because of the humidity it is impossible to get the clothes to dry, so the only option is to get it washed and dried for you! We went out for an amazing dinner at a cozy little place and afterwards we went to the carneval, here there was a big round building with a guy speaking loud spanish in a microphon, so we decided to go look - inside we found that there was a horse/bull show going on! We sat an watched it and found it very amusing! We went around in the little carneval and went on the merry-go-around, everyone was laughing at us but it was alot of fun! The next day we went to a 75m tall waterfall and swam in the pool!! And then we went on the adventure of the Jeep-Boat-Jeep. with high expectations that the Jeep was gonna transform into a boat and just drive into the lake and the later back into a Jeep we were quite dissapointed to have a minnivan pick us up, drive us to the lake and drop us off at the boat! But the view of the volcano from the boat was absolutely worth it!! We came to Santa Elena, Monteverde in the late afternoon! We spent the next couple of days in Monteverde, learning about and watching all kinds of insects, snakes, butterflies and frogs! We went to an insect world and here i had a turantala crawling on my hands!!!!!! It was super super scary, it was the size of my hand, very furry and kinda heavy! We went to the cheese fabric and saw how they made cheese, and tasted many different kinds of cheese mmmmhh! In monteverde a new and lovely adventure began :)
